It’s scary to see how many people we know, friends of our friends and even celebrities struggle so much with life to the point that they believe taking their own life is better than being alive.
What’s truly more scary, is how often it happens and what are we doing as a society to help? Are we being good friends? Good family members? Even good listeners?
I, myself, have struggled in the past to find a will to live, because problems and life get so overwhelming that you feel like you’re doing everyone around you a favor by just disappearing. I know not everyone understands this very dark place of our lives, it’s not seeking for attention, and that’s why you don’t hear about these problems until it’s too late… Sometimes we get lucky enough that we get to pull our loved ones out of a tragedy (to us – but have you asked… Was it a tragedy you? A tragedy, that you got to wake up again? That you had a failed attempt?)
I want people to be able to read this, and know, that I don’t care if you’re male, female, catholic, Jewish, black, white, republican, Democrat, or any of your beliefs – if you need someone to be there for you, to give you something to look forward to tomorrow, I’m here for you. I’m here to listen. I’m not here to judge you, I’m here to show you that if you were not here today there is ONE person in this world that cares if you are no longer in it. But I also understand if you don’t want to talk to me, and the title of this article is the Suicide Prevention Lifeline and they are ALWAYS available to help you.
Life sucks, a lot of times. But this world would NOT and will NOT be better without you. We need you.
