Favorite stores to shop if you’re on a budget

Like Carrie Bradshaw once said, “I like my money right where I can see it, hanging in my closet.” And I, personally am no different, I love to keep up with the latest trends whether its S/S or F/W there’s always new colors or different accessories, even the colors of my nails, so it’s extremely hard for me to keep up with my taste and on a budget. Now that doesn’t mean we can’t have the latest trends while we make our bank accounts cry.

Some of my favorite stores that you can find at almost every big city include Marshall’s, TJ Maxx and Ross here and there. I’ve also found some gems at Forever21, but I’d have to say the quality is not so good sometimes, so it’s better to shop in stores when it comes to them, I feel the same way about H&M. I usually do find most of my wardrobe at places like Marshall’s because they tend to have brands but much cheaper, so it’s good quality clothing, house decor (especially if you’re like me and you like to decorate your home around major holidays.)

Now, there are the major department stores such as Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillards, etc. That has some kind of huge semi-annual sales and I’m always on the look out for things I’ve been wanting but I know will still be fashion relevant within the next six months at least and are super discounted. The last amazing deal I got from Macy’s, for example, was this Vince Camuto jacket for $70 and it was originally priced for $160, which is more than 50% off! And of course, for major branded stores like Nike, Kate Spade, Coach, etc. outlets and Kohl’s will forever be your best friend.

If we talk shoes, I go anywhere from Indy Instagram brands to specific shoes and models from certain brands to buying from departments stores I already mentioned, I really don’t discriminate when it comes to shoes.

I made a promise to my bank account and that was to NEVER again buy anything full price, without a discount code or on major sale. I hope some of my suggestions are of any help to you.

Xo, Gaby.
